Parking and Driving Permits
Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School
Student Parking and Driving Policies
Driving and parking on campus is a privilege and not a right. Students may be fined, or risk having privileges suspended or revoked at any time by the BMCHS Administration for policy violation(s). Federal and state laws require that school campuses are alcohol, tobacco, drug, and weapon free. All student vehicles on campus are subject to search by school officials and/or law enforcement.
Motor Vehicle Operation
- The safe speed limit for motor vehicles is 12 mph in all areas of the campus.
- Students are required to park in the student area for safety and security purposes. School issued parking permits MUST be visible. Parking violations will result in fines. Parking violations include speeding on campus, reckless driving, not parking within the lines, and parking in unassigned areas.
- Students will not ride on the exterior of vehicles or in the rear of pick-up trucks while moving about the campus. Students will not drive their personal vehicles to the ballfields for practice.
- All accidents must be reported to the school office and/or security and an incident report must be completed.
BMCHS school administrators will determine the discipline to be administered for violations of this policy. The signing of this Student Parking and Driving Policies form indicates that you have read, understand, and agree to abide by the rules of vehicle operation on the BMCHS campus. (see student handbook)
