Campus Safety
Providing a Safe Learning Environment
At Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School, the safety and security of our students, staff, and visitors are our highest priority. We have implemented a comprehensive, multi-layered security system to ensure a safe learning environment. Our campus is protected by a campus-wide steel gate and staffed with trained, armed security personnel. Access to the school is strictly controlled through a state-of-the-art entry system, featuring magnetically locked doors and video surveillance. Visitors must be remotely approved and admitted by our front office administrator. These advanced measures complement our traditional safety protocols, creating a secure campus where students can focus on their education without compromising on safety. We continuously review and upgrade our security measures to stay ahead of potential risks, always balancing the need for security with our commitment to maintaining a welcoming, nurturing educational environment.
Anti-Bullying Policy and Report
We are committed to fostering a compassionate, respectful community where every individual feels valued and safe. Our anti-bullying policy is a cornerstone of this commitment, reflecting our Catholic values of dignity and respect for all. We take a zero-tolerance approach to bullying in all its forms – physical, verbal, social, or cyber. Our policy is designed not just to address incidents of bullying, but to proactively create a culture of mutual respect and understanding. We believe in educating our students about the impact of their actions, promoting empathy, and empowering bystanders to become upstanders. Through a combination of clear guidelines, swift intervention, and ongoing education, we strive to maintain an environment where differences are celebrated, kindness is the norm, and every student can thrive without fear of harassment or intimidation.
