The Hurricanes have steadily improved over the past three years. They are fresh off a 5-5 season and worked hard over the summer to prepare for this upcoming season. The team will be led by 14 seniors that are looking to make a statement. Expect a good mix of offense and defense with a good aggressive attitude. The Canes kick off the season August 23rd at Sarasota Christian. Week 2 should be fun as the Canes will look to mix it up against the previous Head Coach, Bob Dare’s team, at Keswick Christian. The Hurricanes are looking forward to a great season with great support by the BMCHS family!
Congrats to Bishop Football with a tough road win and Coach Ater’s 1st win as a Head Coach! Next week Bishop returns to its new house.
September 6, 2024Coach Ater has been coaching high school football for 11 seasons. He accumulated 63 wins in 9 years as a Defensive Coordinator. During his 11 years of coaching high school football, he has helped over 30 players continue their career at the college level, with one making it to the professional level. This season will be his third year at Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School coaching football, his first year as our Head Coach. Football is a passion for Coach Ater, but his number one passion is partnering with parents to raise young men with the RALE man principle. A RALE man… Rejects Passivity, Accepts Responsibility, Leads Courageously, and Expects the Greater Reward.
